Topic 1: Electrical Fundamentals
• Enable learners to understand voltage, current, and resistance, apply Ohm’s Law, and calculate power and energy consumption in basic electrical circuits.Topic 2: Electrical Installation and Wiring

This course introduces the essential concepts and practices in electrical engineering, with a special focus on TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) learners.
It begins with core electrical principles, such as voltage, current, resistance, power, and energy. Learners explore the function of basic circuit components like resistors, capacitors, and inductors. They also gain confidence in using key tools and ensuring safety during electrical tasks.
The course progresses into real-world wiring applications—covering domestic lighting and power circuits, as well as more complex industrial systems. Learners gain experience with wiring layouts, protection devices, earthing, cable selection, and three-phase systems.
The final section introduces students to electrical machines and automation. It focuses on AC/DC motors, transformers, manual motor starters, contactors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). These units provide practical knowledge and skills needed in modern electrical installations and control systems.
By the end, learners are well-prepared for hands-on electrical work in homes, industries, and automation environments—guided by national wiring regulations and safety practices.
